Arden Hills Real Estate For Sale

Welcome to Arden Hills

Conveniently located less than 10 miles north of both Minneapolis and St. Paul, Arden Hills is a smaller suburb with around 10,000 residents. Located in Ramsey County, it’s bordered by Roseville to its south, New Brighton on it’s western side, and Shoreview lies to the east.

Arden Hills is a steadily growing community, partly due to its convenient location, but it also has a solid economy in its own right. The town is home to Bethel University and University of Northwestern-St. Paul as well as the Land O’ Lakes company headquarters, and both Boston Scientific and Smiths Medical have manufacturing centers here. However, the real draw of Arden Hills real estate is the natural setting – Lake Johanna, Lake Josephine, and Valentine Lake are all lovely features of the town, and there is ample green space and park area, too!

 History of Arden Hills

Like many of the towns surrounding it, the community of Arden Hills is fairly young. It was originally part of Mounds View Township, which also included Shoreview, New Brighton, North Oaks, and St. Anthony. However, as New Brighton annexed into its own community, Arden Hills followed suit and incorporated in 1951.

While growth was steady during the 1950s and 1960s, the population saw a huge rise between 1970 and 1980, in which over 1,000 new homes were built. Many of the Arden Hills homes for sale reflect the architectural trends that were popular during that period of growth, including mid-century modern elements, Tudor stylings, and incorporating wood and natural details. As growth continues, there are also ample modern homes in growing subdivisions.
