Saint Anthony, MN Real Estate for Sale

Welcome to Saint Anthony Village, MN

Saint Anthony Village is an inner suburb of Minneapolis, located just four miles northeast of Downtown, within both Ramsey and Hennepin Counties. With a population under 10,000 people, this is a primarily residential community, providing a small town feel, even though the action of the city is just a few miles away.

Originally, Saint Anthony Village was annexed by Minneapolis for agricultural land, but the residents voted in 1945 to incorporate as a village. While the state challenged the decision, saying it was too rural and too much farmland, the state Supreme Court held up the decision and as the city grew and spread, the tiny rural village became a populated suburb.

As much of the town grew between 1945 and 1965, the homes for sale in St. Anthony tend to reflect mid-century modern stylings, including finished basement family rooms and hardwood flooring. Ramblers and split levels are common, but there are also newer homes built near Silver Lake as well as condo buildings for people seeking a low-maintenance home.
