Welcome to the Field Neighborhood

Field is a Nokomis community neighborhood in south Minneapolis that, like the surrounding neighborhoods of Page, Regina, and Hale, is primarily residential with a convenient location and a variety of local businesses and outdoor activities. With I-35 making up the western border of the neighborhood, it’s easy to go north to Downtown Minneapolis or south to Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport and the Mall of America® in just 10 to 15 minutes.

Named after writer and poet Eugene Field, many of the homes were built between 1925 and 1945 – perfect for those who want a craftsman, bungalow, or art deco-style home with features like wooden built-ins, hardwood floors, and functional fireplaces. Additionally, the neighborhood has streets lined with mature trees, adding to the quaint feel of the area.

On the other side of I-35, just a few minutes west, is Lake Harriet. The castle-themed Bandshell offers live music during the summer, plus a beach, water activities, walking trails, and gorgeous scenery attract people from across Minnesota.
